Abstract
Digital transformation (DT) emerged as a critical response to the 2008 GFC or the COVID-19 pandemic (depending on the industry, finance, retail for the former, manufacturing for the latter). This project examines how companies leveraged digital transformation as part of their strategic adaptation during and after the GFC. The project will use secondary data from industry reports, financial statements, case studies, and media articles to explore how companies in different industries adopted digital technologies to enhance operational efficiency, customer engagement, and competitiveness. The research will also analyze which digital strategies successfully drove corporate resilience and long-term growth. This will help students better understand what is involved in becoming a digital organisation.
