Abstract
The project examines why small businesses resist a free cybersecurity assessment. Cybersecurity is important for protecting the digital assets of these businesses. Their limited resources make them more vulnerable to hacking than large firms. Data collection and mentorship will be in conjunction with the ongoing programme at the Center for Cybersecurity. Relevant theoretical areas could include entrepreneurial orientation and the Technology Acceptance Model, for example.
